Right, so i finished it, but now it would appear all the shop keepers have disappeared so i cant buy anything!?
I finished it in debt and therefore lots of people died in the final bit, but its rather annoying. My character has gone very VERY pale skinned and i need to buy food to get the colour back, which i cant as all the stall holders have disappeared!!

Basically, after defeating the king, you hear of an army of darkness that is coming to destroy albion. You need to raise 6.5million to have a large enough army to defeat them. If you are have been nice and made the promisies then to keep the promises costs you roughly 3 million. The chances of your earning 9.5 million are slim to say the least.
Therefore it basically means everyone dies, but you survive, so afterwards there are no shops open and the only people walking around are guards. You can still do side missions but its pretty boring not being able to buy any of the weapsons/food etc.....
Apparently the best way to do it is to buy shops and not houses. Buy the most expensive shops like pawnbrokers and clothes shops. You also dont have upkeep on houses.

All it took was 2 hours being mind numbingly bored with level 5 blacksmith. Managed to get just over 350,000. Bought both pawnbrokers and bingo, the money started to come in.
I currently own every property possible. $80,000 every 5 minutes. Spent most of yesterday doing the side missions waiting for the money to start building up.
ETA: there is a money glitch for people that way inclined, i decided against it though.

only problem with leaving the xbox unattended is that ive 'heard' that if you get to 999,999,999 it freezes your game save/xbox. It was written as a warning on the website that mentioned the glitch.
If you google the Fable 3 money glitch you get about a million results. I was using a guide to work out how to get to sunset house on the same site! The glitch involves having 2 controllers, co-op'ing and gifting money to each other. Not sure how it works though.
