I jumped online last night for the first time and had a bit of a blast with CoD2. First time I jumped on my character moved very randomly and very slowly. hmmmm, jumped out and back in again and all was well. Although I'm not sure if my "radar" was working as I could see my team mate but none of the other team until they were about 3 feet away (and generally shooting me in the back!) Is that how it's meant to be?

The sound seems a little odd re the voice sets. Seem to get a "squirrly" noise and only now and then get a decent snippet of conversation, is this normal?

Are there any PH type areas or games that you guys play online? PGR3? If so how does one join or find the area where you're playing?

As you can tell I'm almost entirely new to the world of online gaming - it's quite fun though! Made me laugh a few times getting shot without knowing someone was around!

Edited to add: Oh and if some of you are online is it good manners to ask for gamertags to add to my account? That way at least I have some sort of knowledge about who I'm being killed by!

Mine is exactly as my username here: Mannginger, if anyone fancies an easy victory...)

Thanks - found it!

I've got a half gig line, I'm going to have more of a play tonight so will see if it was a one off.

I presume that others hear the voicechat clearly then with no issues?

Cheers

I've checked and I actually have a 1 meg line not a half, however I still suspect that you are right as I was able to play with no problems in a room with only 3 others, but the first game was about 12 folks I think.

I seriously need more practice though!
