Just got my XBOX today with PGR2 and Halo.

I was playing PGR2 and was thinking that the road detail looked a bit fuzzy. I'm using the scart cable it came with and was wondering if everybody who has an xbox is happy with the cable or do they upgrade to another scart cable as i am considering this.

I got a Controller S, and i'm not sure if i like it, i think i prefer the standard controller; what are people's opinions. Does the standard controller make weird noises like my controller s?

Appreciate any replies

Thanks Gary

It's not fuzzy, it just doesn't look as sharp as it should be.

Does your controller S D-pad make clicking sounds as well if you push it down hard?

I'll try out Halo later to see the sharpness and quality of the picture.

I think i may just be very sensitive about the controller. Does your controller make a sort of low ticking noise when you're playing? Also do you actually use that stick above the D-pad when playing PGR2, i didn't find it to be very sensitive at all.

Not too sure about the fuzziness or if it's just the games graphics at certain stages.

I'm not sure if i have a problem with my controller S, when the controller vibrates it makes quite a loud noise (not the standard sort of vibaration noise) When i hold the casing the noise quietens. It could be that it's just not screwed together properly. I may try and change it anyway.

I think my TV is RGB it's just some stages like sydney, the car and road look a bit poor graphics wise, it's too bland.

But i was wondering does anyone else find their controller S makes a loud noise when the vibration kicks in? I'm not sure if my controller is faulty.

Its louder than the PS2 and if you are not holding it it is loud i suppose. Should not rattle or anything though, just a "hum" if you see what i mean!

When i hold it, it's still quite loud. I wouldn't really describe the sound as a hum. Do you find the sound very noticeable when you're playing, or you can't hear because you turn up the volume on the TV?

I'll still try and change it though.

Just to give an update. I went to the shop, they had the SWAT game in the XBOX, used there controller which was already plugged in - and no noise. PLugged in my controller and there was no noise.

Tried out PGR2 with my controller and sure enough there was a noise.

I had my controller replaced for a new one. I got home plugged it in and started playing PGR2 snd there was the noise again. So there is obviously something with PGR2 that makes my controller sound weird. What it is, i don't know.

Check you have the box set to output an RGB signal for the best pic.

Sorry what I meant to say was make sure your TV can accept an RGB signal through the scart, getting mixed up with PS2

How can i be sure? I've run consoles through my TV before using the scart cable - i'd imagine it should be fine. I'm going to try and get another controller, my left trigger creaks a little and it's now quite soft (little resistance)
