To Kinect or not to Kinect?

Hmmm Im buying my replacement xbox anytime from today to the next couple of days.....

I'd written kinnect off as a gimmicky toy but saw someone playing with one today and it did look very good.

So gimmicky toy that I dont need or the future of gaming that I should wait for and purchase next Wednesday?

Did you read the very detailed review that was linked a couple of posts ago? I didn't think it would be that good but I actually have doubts of it ever being released. If released I believe it will go the way of the atari lynx or sega gamegear, it works but is soon forgotten.

You doubt it will be relased at all??

Isn't realse date next wednesday? My local gamestation had one set up to try out today?
