Looks beautiful! I wonder, if you've got the RAW file, whether you could use luminosity masks to bring out the colours and selectively raise the exposure a bit.

Thanks Robbie! smile

I did play with it a bit more and that's what I ended up with. It does look better although more iPhone'ish wink Everybody I showed it to loved it though.

P.S. Have you guys noticed that Flickr messed something up with image compression when posting miniatures using their built in function? They used to be of much better quality and now it looks a bit Thumbsnap!

I'm going there in 2 weeks. Can't wait to take some photos! Can you let me know where is the best vantage point, and what time the balloons set of etc? Any info much appreciated.

Great shot by the way!

That is a huge improvement, good before, now an excellent shot.

Thanks smile I spent some time on it, a case of knowing what I wanted to achieve but struggling to get it right.

One from today. The light wasn't much help, I'll do this one again if I can drag myself out of bed early enough to do it justice:

Feature was about Nat Geo photo comp, and it looked like "one calm tree" photo.

Must be my mistake.

I should mention that there is a credit on the second link which is the one 'the public' would access.

Sorry, not seen it myself - not a paper I read.

Over to vaderface on that one but I would guess it would be 13th May and fwiw the Mirror is a National paper. I assume they would have an arrangement with National Geographic? Not sure how many editions they might print for a single day.

Glen Torridon yesterday. (It's 900k, and 5000 wide, so I'll just post a link. FYI original is 12420 px wide) Click on it to make full size then use the slider.
