Lovely shot Tom.
Very bored today and fancied contributing to part 3. This wasn't easy for so many reasons; I wanted to use a strawberry but I'd eaten them, I don't have an external flash gun so I had to manually hold my marumi whilst dropping the cherry, my tripod can't hold my macro lens + body + battery grip and I couldn't find the original battery cover and last but not least, my dog likes milk and cherries.
Made me chuckle! Great result though, been meaning to try something like this for ages. Very bored today and fancied contributing to part 3. Nice one Tom.

Not posted anything new in Volume 3 yet, but have been admiring the usually high standard stuff from afar.
Here is something not so great taken at our 4th July celebration.

Very nice Stiggy - maybe a wee bit too much contrast? The planes are quite dark on my screen. DSC_0934 by sj-stephenson, on Flickr

Thanks and well I cranked the contrast up on purpose, was having a bit of a test, maybe it didn't work Being from Lincoln I have seen a zillion waddo pictures this week so was trying to be different. Different isn't always good I guess. And well I hope not that sounds dangerous Are they flying with no cockpit canopy in that first one btw ?!

I think I was stood behind you at some point. I remember seeing an image like your first one on the LCD of a camera in front of me. I got some poor shots that day. Broken washing machine meant I couldn't really justify renting a lens (100-400mm was gonna be about £100 for the weekend) and so all I had was something that can go to 50mm max. Even with spot metering and spot AF on the center point the camera wouldn't expose right because the aircraft didn't even cover the spot! Got it dialed in eventually (+1 1/3 EV) but now have to take massive liberties with the crop tool! Went to the torch relay on campus this Tuesday and have definitely decided I need something with more reach for my camera bag before I buy anything else! DSC_0934 by sj-stephenson, on Flickr

Thats ace, such a great foreground rock formation!Quite fed up of the gray drizzle and rain we've had this week, almost like an English summer here! Got desparate and went out to shoot something this morning , anything! Weekend may be a bit better or I'll just go snowboarding.

I was in the Airforce monthly enclosure? Pretty much the only female in there with a camera? I did struggle a lot, thought I would do better with my 300 but going to rent a 500 next year after seeing some mates images. And well I get a bit excited around noisey planes so was struggling to concentrate. These were a quick play after the pub last night so will make some proper effort to edit tonight. 4Lmike said:
