On holiday at the moment. I thought I would try the water proof rating of the S23 ultra.. Quite pleased with the results! And it still works.. I've been very impressed with the versatility of the various lens, the 10x is fantastic, the 200mp mode is is surprisingly good too.

Except the Samsung is cheating a bit - they are using software to fill in detail.

The underwater pics are brilliant!
Is that just a naked phone, no special case?

Thank you smile

Yes, just popped the phone under water, with no special case. the touch screen was quite erratic, so I had to use the volume down to take the photo. I was very impressed how they came out, as and how sharp the images were. The first two were using the normal wide angle lens, and the last photo I set to 3x zoom before I put it under water.

It didn't let me charge it for the rest of the day though, as it mentioned water in the charge port. It was fine later that evening though.

The best bit of advice I can give anyone is - as long as it's not something that may move so you've got to be quick - get in to the habit of giving your camera lens a quick wipe on your shirt, jeans, what ever, which should eliminate haze smile

Almost got it. If the dog was just looking a bit further to the right.

I was on holiday this week, my 11 month old lad's first time in a pool, I was really tempted to try some underwater shots with my Pixel but just couldn't bring myself to dunk it under the water!

I must admit, even after reading up on the water resistance specs, it still didn't feel right at all taking it in the pool with me! And was very heppy when it continued to work afterwards hehe

I've had mine in the pool/sea but just not under water yet. might play around with it next time I'm near a pool or the sea.
