A couple of Punakha Dzong from a recent trip to Bhutan - taken on a Samsung S21

Lovely. Have you done anything to those? I’ve noticed that a friend with a Samsung phone produces more colour saturated photos than iPhone

The top one got an 'auto' filter on Samsung's gallery app (which is way out of date on my phone - it keeps asking me to update it and I keep ignoring it).

The bottom one I processed in photoshop at the same time as I was working on a bunch of shots I'd taken on my proper camera. From memory all I did was to brighten the buildings while trying to avoid blowing out the highlights in the clouds - so no deliberate increase in colour saturation.

I have found with some countryside shots (lots of bright greens) that the Samsung can make the colours look a bit disneyland, if you know what I mean.

Love the shots I get from my Leica, but constantly impressed by the images I get from an iPhone (15 pro)

You can adjust exposure, you know - for next time, tap on where you want the camera to focus, then slide to the left to bring exposure down a touch, will look closer to how you want it to then wink

I’m usually OK with most settings but I find direct sunlight and low light to be a challenge - either for the camera or for me to get it set up right. It’s an iPhone 12 Pro - I think…

Missus dragged me along to one of these pumpkin picking chav fests yesterday, luckily our one had a bar.

She wanted to take her Nikon D4300, which she uses for her wedding cake design business but in all honesty she cant use it, she just points and shoots. I took some "decent" pictures with it, but took a few on my phone, Pixel 6.
