What's the difference between a 250LM and a 275LM? Genuine question as I know you're an old Ferrari man (if you get what I mean ) - the 250LM is my all time favourite car so if there's another I need to compare it against I need to know
Most of the 250LMs produced by the factory were technicaly 275LMs as they had the larger 275 motor fitted, so no real difference, apart from the odd things like the cars modified to take fibreglass bodies, or the trimmed road cars etc . . . . . Enzo enjoyed winding up the equivilant of the FIA . . . .even more so, as i'm sure you already know that he tried to get the LM homologated as a mid engined development of the GTO . . . itself homologated as being "just" an upgraded SWBAndrewW-G said:

Cheers Do you have any links to (reliable!) sites I could read up on some of the differences in models from that era?
I fell in love with the 250LM when I was a kid and I saw pictures of it, but in all honesty I don't know much more about it than it was 'the first mid-engined' Ferrari!
Oh, and to keep the thread on track here's a picture of Gordon Jackson's famous 'one dab'; the only time he put his foot down in a section of the 1955 ISDT. A feat ('scuse the pun) that's never been repeated and caught on one of the very few cameras at the event!

SSDT, not ISDT - Scottish Six Days Trial, just had it's centenary this year. See http://www.ssdt.org/
