A better solution, in my opinion, would be not to vote for a winner, but to vote for next month's subject. The idea of having a winner at all is one that I am not comfortable with bearing in mind that it's only going to be the opinion of whoever judges it.

In a competition between Da Vinci, Van Gogh and Michelangelo who could choose a winner? What we are doing is art, not racing.

... I had it in the back of my mind that a good follow on topic from this would be for photos that are primarily one colour (and not b&w). Be that one colour as taken, or made that way in post processing such that it somehow enhanced it.

I'd like to see a topic where the photographed scene was created by the photographer, rather than him (or her) simply going to where the scene was and taking the picture.

Examples would include still life, food photography, posed portraits etc. In other words, a picture that wouldn't otherwise have been there, created rather than found.

We need to move this along. I propose we leave the Dec judging for when the OP gets back online.

And for Jan we spin up a new topic, and rather than discuss or vote for something that will take the rest of the month, we just pick whatever the topic was exactly 10 years ago.
