If they are flat and not CRT and you have the desk space run them together. With such a similar size, the tablet will be fine. I would suggest a minimum A4 for the tablet though for 2 screens due to cursor travel speeds.

We find the 2 scren set up really works well as having the tools on the second screen keeps the main screen clear of clutter, but we have to work with people in attendance so it has to look businesslike.

It's not just tools that are kept on screen 2. Server connection windows, FTP windows etc. very flexible set up and really easy with just one tablet covering all.

How do they work with multi monitors?
I have 3 monitors side-by-side, and the Bamboo defaults to covering the entire area. The problem with that is that if you draw a circle on the pad, it's a wide ellipse on the screen! In the settings you can dedicate it to one screen, so that's what I did.
