Very nice Dave, there's some here in the forest but I'm yet to see any. Roe3 by South West Wildlife, on Flickr

Welcome Nice work - the second one is my fave What are you shooting with ?
Canon 5D Mark III with EF 70-200 2.8 usm L IS II and 2x teleconverter. Gives me f5.6 wide open and a decent range spread. A couple of Extension tubes and most of my insect stuff is covered also. See example.LongQ said:
Yes ... but with that kit list .... you're joking, right?
I wish I was, but kit will never beat talent. Some on the stuff on here is better than I will ever achieve. My kit allows me to get closer to what I want, but I am still a beginner and whatever I shoot with will never change that.pwduncan said:
Very nice shots. I have posted some stuff in the bird thread, but feel I will never catch up with the experienced guys.
Thanks, looks like you've taken the same route as me, buy the best you can afford and stand the steep learning curve. I'm pretty much a beginner too, I picked up my first DSLR late last year. As a Canon shooter you should also check out: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/index.php There's a very active bird section on there, some really nice people who'll give you any help or advice you need, not that you look like you need any judging by what you've posted, but well worth joining 2slo said:
