Duxford Battle of Britain air show, Saturday 16th September.

Unfortunately the harsh light and haze meant that my images of the B17 Memphis Belle flying with the BBMF Lancaster - for the first time in 30 years, apparently - are a bit pants.

Catching up with photos taken at the Goodwood Revivial and one of the test days during the lead up.

Haven't been out with a camera much lately, but finally got around to processing a couple of shots from a few months back.

Not obvious here but it had only just stopped raining. This is just to the east of MInehead on the Bristol Channel. Misty as usual.

Good day out at a local club rally last weekend - always impresses me the level of commitment some of these guys show on a blind rally with no pace notes, makes for good photo opportunities too! Album here: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjAYsxx

What's the collective opinion on this - good concept, or just a bit naff? I was panning and it flew straight in front of the sun...I think I like how it came out but looking for a second opinion?
I think it's a pretty decent shot, but probably needs some Lightroom tweaking to lift the overall image. Personal opinion - I think it's overexposed. Maybe increase the black/shadow levels so the plane is black. Play around with the highlights to increase sky detail (or even use LR's AI sky tool which is quite good). The flare in the bottom right is a bit distracting, so perhaps remove that, or crop the image. Just my thoughts.djsmith74 said:
