I just got one of those too, bit more versatile than the old reverse-50mm!

That photo is brilliant, though I would be a little concerned if he did actually jump towards me at that distance! The 'Spidey dinner time' photo made me chuckle, reminded me of the film 'Gremlins'.
As DibblyDobbler said, nice one Ben
EDITED to ask whether you are using the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro OS HSM prime lens, or the Sigma 24-105mm f4 DG OS HSM A zoom lens?

Thanks for the welcome, DibbyDobbler. I must confess to never having heard of this site until recently when I was looking for info on using a Raynox with a Sony R10iii, which led me to the thread. I'm looking to upgrade some time in the future from my other camera, an old SX40, and the Sony has piqued my interest (though I have to raise the cash for it still - that may take some time, lol) and I wanted to find out more about it. I take most of my insect pics at the moment with the little s120 though - it's always in my pocket and has a decent macro capability (well, not true macro, more close-up). I get the insects here where I live, so have plenty of opportunities to photograph them. I promise not to bore you all, though.
I dusted off the macro lens yesterday, turns out i am rustier than a 90's ford, but all good fun anyway! Only really happy with the last two, but would like ID's of the bees in the others if anyone reading is a budding entomologist!

Focus on this one is not quite right...point of focus is fractionally in front of the eye... but i like it for all the pollen being thrown up in the air.

Yes, a bit quiet recently. In response the the last lovely bee shots, here's one of mine. Turned out to be my most popular Flickr image ever (by some margin), with approaching 100,000 views!
