These directional antennas arrived today from FPVLR.com and I tried just fitting one of them to see the effect. Did a long range flight which was limited by controller signal. Video was still good at this distance with 5 bars. Normally it's the video that cuts out 1st. Have fitted the other antenna now, but it's raining slightly so no chance to test. In theory the battery is now the limitation on range.

Just a very quick one - threw the drone up in the air after a rain shower this evening. The still is nothing much, but the video is satisfying for a half hour project.

Took the plunge and have just ordered a dji phantom 3 advanced from fast lads.

Looking forward to getting it tomorrow. Already have a few projects in mind.

Is it me, or is that video very choppy? I can't view 4K, so I'm looking at the 1080p stream on youtube and it seems quite twitchy..

Try restarting your browser, or going 720p. My MacBook struggles with 1080p
