Spent the weekend up in Scotland.
The weather was a mixed bag, conditions varied between horrendous & stunning.
First night at Cladich on the shores of Loch Awe (popular at the moment it seems!) then a day trip up to Glencoe (awful conditions) and then back down to Loch Lomond. (Even worse conditions)
Anyway here's my first one from dawn at Kilchurn Castle.
Obviously a blend of exposures / HDR - has it gone to far? I've spent that long looking at it I can't decide if it's way over the top or just about OK?

and while we're doing the clichéd 'everyones took that shot' thing - heres another

I am hardly an arbiter of good taste but I might have added just a wee bit of contrast to the first (although it doesn't look overdone as it is )
Lots of belters recently - well overdue a bit of mediocrity!
Tried to get a photo of my toddler playing on the piano with her granddad. Failed miserably to get one I was happy with, but quite liked this close crop.

If anything its a little flat (often a by product of hdr, which removes contrast basically), could do with a little more punch if you like. I wouldnt pick it as HDR though which is a good thing..The weather was a mixed bag, conditions varied between horrendous & stunning.

Thanks - i'll have a play around as I think it's also slightly leaning to the right. The weather was a mixed bag, conditions varied between horrendous & stunning.

/\ Love the second shot Nick.
You managed to make them look like a thick carpet of flowers. I went to the woods near Ditchling to take some bluebell shots but couldn't quite get the effect I was after last week.
Thanks! To be fair, the bluebells have "gone over" quite a bit. I had to lie on my belly to get that... which at least is well padded, but not very waterproof! Note to self; take a bin liner next time You managed to make them look like a thick carpet of flowers.
