hehe You've too much choice!

Not restricted to yours, but many of the photos we're putting up here are of things which aren't so "ordinary" - are they?

the snow I thinks your best one Mrs Fish

but (not aimed just at you!) I agree with sentiments in a previous posters post - are people just entering shots and prefixing them with the word ordinary? hehe

Oh look an ordinary landscape, or how about an ordinary portrait etc driving

The high-key bulb is certainly my favourite of the 3 edits.

Thanks, I am favouring that one at the moment. I am going to try and take some specific shots of ordinary stuff over the next couple of weeks smile

Not sure how "ordinary" the Saggy Arse's arse is - I'd have said quite special! Though nice treatment.

I find the bubbles very intriguing, but the framing doesn't do it justice - not sure what it needs but try with the focal point on a rule-of-thirds line maybe? I could quite like that one. thumbup

I don't "get" the last one at all - I'm sure it makes sense when it's in context, but for a "pretty ordinary" - well it certainly gets you thinking!

1 Surely Saggys are a pretty ordinary car? wink Actually it was taken on a pretty ordinary (4meg compact) camera but has had a fairly high level of p'shop work done on it.

2 I know what you mean, I've tried various different crops on it but can't really find one that I liked more than this. I was hoping the face in the background would help give it some context and framing. More work required on this I think.

3 Well it's on a pretty ordinary bit of wall, about a mile of which is filled with similar artwork. I know it doesn't really fit with the theme (and hence should really have been in a separate thread) but I just had to put it up. wink

RF - I love that nice warmth that you've conveyed there. But to my mind it isn't helped by seeming to be at an angle. Maybe I need a few drink and then my perception will straighten up?

yes definitely one of those... well, maybe...

I kept coming back to those since you posted them. I think the focus point on the knot is OK, but maybe to have a focus point on the actual contents (what is it again? chillies, tomatoes, peppers?) might be even better? Don't know...

And don't blame me, I've no better idea than you what'll appeal to our illustrious judge any more than anyone else! I just know that it's been a tough challenge this month...
