The 24th TransporTed pic is up today (over 68k miles so far). He's now off to the USA and then we're trying to get him to Dibble for his trip to Oz (at least he'll have a police escort!)

http://www.stevecarter.com/transported/ted1.htm

ETA - You're in the book Dave (Hay) maybe a pic in Scotland when he returns from Oz?

excellent huge relief he made it to Wales ok. You need to sew a smile on his face. He just looks on a huge downer in each pic. I suppose the jet lag day after day and late nights out must be getting to him hehe

A pleasure! He survived numerous baggage searching and American Airlines Lost Baggage Escapades between Tortola and Miami.

He also had to endure a high fright content 'cause the 'gator sign was right above this little chappie ( known as "The Terminator" ) who is the pet at the dock for the airboat tour we took in the Everglades! Not sure if he was more frightened than me that he'd fall in!

OK... I think this'll work...

I'm not sure he'd reach you by 25th Dave (with Christmas post) - and in any case he's been in the USA for ages... so to clock up some bearmiles - I'd like to get him to you on your return in Jan for a pic in Scotland - then if the timing works to Phil for his trip to Granada, then to Chris for his trip to Gallapagos (Ted REALLY wants to go there!), then India with Peter - and then perhaps back to MissDiane in April (sorry Di to miss your trip, but there are too many clashes)

SO... If DAVE, PHIL, CHRIS, PETER & DI could all send a postal address to 'Steve at SteveCarter.co.uk' including the dates you leave & return (where appropriate) I'll try and pull it all together.

Mrs CVP and I have always said there are a number of places we want to go to in our lives. We both love the natural world, I guess too much David Attenborough and BBC Natural History unit when you are young has its impact !

The earth is such a marvellous place and there is so much to experience. Top of her list is Galapagos, then Borneo for the Orangutans and then Machu Picchu. For me the the top is Antarctica and nearby islands, then Galapagos, then Madagascar for the lemurs, then much more of Africa than the limited glimpse I had last time.

I'll be back to bore you all with the images in early March.

Know how you feel Chris...I'm trying to do 6-8 weeks in India next year and the Galapogos the year after. Trouble is, the cheapest trip I can find there is 7k, and t isn't anywhere near the itinery I want. Then there's Africa, Australia.....

Can't do much on the cost Martin but talk to Audley Travel who do bespoke stuff. They've sorted our India trip and we wrote our own Itinery. 14 nights £3000 each flying premium economy and staying in some awesome hotels and Tree Houses in the National Park ( well actually you can't stay IN the park but we are on the edge). They do trips all over the place!! Also Responsible Travel on t'internet were really good at putting me in touch with people.
