Bloody threads - this has made my mind up to get an RX100 MK 3.
I have a 10 (approx) year old Canon 20D with canon 10-22 and 24-70L lenses. They are all as knew in condition. - anyone know what trade in value against the Sony would be?
Wex have given me excellent p/x recently. Including my 10-22 for about 400 iirc I have a 10 (approx) year old Canon 20D with canon 10-22 and 24-70L lenses. They are all as knew in condition. - anyone know what trade in value against the Sony would be?

Steve, just so I can set my level of jealousy correctly, is that straight out of the camera or processed?
I added highlight and shadow, resized and sharpened. It pretty much took itself. The hardest thing was balancing on the rock I was standing on.ETA, oh, and stopping my dog from jumping into the water destroying the reflection.

I was intending getting an RX100 III tomorrow.
Is that Canon a reason to postpone that purchase for now?
The RX100 III has the pop up electronic viewfinder which I have found actually really good in use.Is that Canon a reason to postpone that purchase for now?
Also, this is Canon's first pop at this kind of camera, and I'm sure it is very good, but I have personally had great success with the RX100 range and would prefer to stick to what I know.
I guess only the reviews will tell!
Partly influenced by this thread, I also bought an RX100 mk3 about a month or so ago, and am very happy with it.
The low light performance is fantastic and I rarely use the flash.
The pop up range finder works very well - and I love how just popping it up switches the camera on. And if you move your eye away from the range finder, the screen switches on, so you're always covered!
I still need to get a proper case for it - I bought the Gariz half case which is very nice and classy, but doesn't give it any protection. I do love how I can carry it in my pocket though, so any case must not make it too bulky.

Here's one I took today with my new RX100III. So far very pleased with it.
