Whilst you are clearly very good at Photoshop,
Actually i can't stand photoshop, hate it with a passion only thing i did in it was blur out the reg plates.
There's definitely evidence of dodging and burning in. And half of the first image is monochrome whilst the other is colour. And I bet you tweaked the saturation too wink

Hello Nick! I've been a busy bee and have been without internet access for the best part of six months. I managed to get out with the camera on Tuesday though and got one shot I was fairly pleased with.

How are tricks?

His camera must produce HDR/Topaz like halo effects and heavy vignetting all on it's own then. LOL

Hey Emma, I remember some of your amazing shots (on Ken Rockwell's RealRaw format LOL) a while ago, do you have a link with some of your shots on?

Hi Bob!

I'm not sure which shots you refer to, maybe architectural ones taken in Valencia? Here is a link to my website - http://emmakelly.co.uk/

D'oh! I just got the joke! Yes it was shot on Ken Rockwell's finest stock.

I'm pleased that you like that shot and the website as well.

Glad to hear as is well with you.

I made do with an internet shop just around the corner, but only had 30 min doses every day or so.

It is good to be back on this forum and to see what everyone is up to.

Another bit of advice
Go out and buy yourself an old film camera, learn how photography works without special effects and aids to help you, you can get the film put directly onto CD, I know it's slow frown

That's good advice from Di. An old Pentax K1000 would be a good, cheap choice. Virtually fool proof and very robust.

I dont agree on that. When i first started to take photography seriously i used a manual 35mm pentax. Progress was slow!

I ended up buying one of the first 300D's when they came out and i found i started learning MUCH quicker. You shoot more, You make more mistakes, You can correct mistakes halfway through a shoot.

I think using the DSLR on manual should be enough to get the OP to think about what he's actually doing. And it'll be a damn site quicker than waiting for your prints from snapppy snaps! laugh

I think shooting film you tend to be more careful with exposure measurement and also framing. Besides if he is a degree student I'd have hoped he processed and printed his own work. That was half the fun.

One million times better eek

I really like some of them and your shot of the two chaps with the car works quite well.

Slight negative is the White balance is a bit off on a couple.

Keep at it matey!

I'd suggest posting them individually on here so people can comment on specific images.
