Thrilled to be able to finally get out of the house after surgery (no where near Chris's complexity of procedure however!) and I haven't shot a landscape in ages! I intended to try a pano but I have a terrible tripod and it was just far too difficult hehe Awful weather for much of today but the sunset was really good. I noticed late but hopefully not too late.

Woah, I need a tripod!

Back home in Aachen finally and finding some colourful gems in my shots from Yosemite in January (that I didn't really pay much attention to on the travel laptop)...

Grasmere Sunrise by mark_mullen, on Flickr

Was in the Lake District at the weekend to attend and photograph a friend's wedding, it seemed rude not to nip out for some landscapes, still, having gone to bed at 1am it seemed very early to get up again at 5am to head out to Grasmere.

Wish I hadn't looked on here, some fantastic shots here recently.

Unfortunately not much photo opportunities from my hospital bed, had brain surgery on Friday but hopefully get some shooting in a few weeks. I'll not bore you with the details but suffice to say it was very bizarre. Anyway all appears well speach is slightly impaired till swelling goes down.

(for those interested in details, google wide awake crainactomy, basiccaly brain surgery whilst awake)
Here's to a swift recovery smile All the best!

Here is something a bit different for me, a minimalist black and white shot. I kinda like it though smile
