I really like the skyline and the sunset, but don't know what to make of the foreground, the colour, what there is of it The Road Hole by Mike Smith, on Flickr

I'm almost certain you are supposed to play golf shots with special clubs DD. Using a camera might damage it.
Don't let the rules committee see you. Especially not at St. Andrews.
Hah - it's a public links so I was entitled to wander about Don't let the rules committee see you. Especially not at St. Andrews.
They wouldn't like that. Abuse of ball or something I would imagine. Probably a hanging offence.
ETA: It's an interesting effect with the frost picking up the sunset colours. I quite like it but in the back of my mind I hear some nagging reservations although I'm not sure why.

Here's another
I've just treated myself to a BenQ 27" 4K monitor, the one that's supposed to show 99% of Adobe RGB colours, and your picture is one of the first that I've looked at. When I looked at it earlier on my old monitor it looked ok, but now it's looks really good, the sky especially. It would make a good print if done at a decent size. Thanks for the explanation re the links picture, I hadn't realised it was frosty. I think the ground does have something of a purple thing going on, whereas the sunset is towards the other end of the spectrum with oranges and reds. I don't know why that should be, though it could be that the frost is allowing the red from the sunset to mix with the other colours present?

Thanks - the panorama style shot was handheld at 1/17th with the camera held up above my head (to clear a parapet) in a strong wind! Was amazed it came out at all Thanks for the explanation re the links picture, I hadn't realised it was frosty. Ref the frosty foreground in the first shot - you've rumbled me as I did desaturate it quite a bit as it had a very warm red hue which I didn't think was very realistic. Not sure I nailed it but I am happy enough with the result.
