It all depends what you see yourself doing with your photos in the future, and whether the current crop of cameras meets that need.

The current crop of DSLRs will produce photos that are more than good enough to display fantastic images at any size up to A4 or even A3.

Even if someone brings out a 100MP camera, it won't stop one that is out now from producing good photos, just like the advent of good quality digital cameras hasn't stopped people from producing good images with film.

There are instances when a DSLR still isn't as good as film, and in time, these limitations should reduce as the technology improves.
