Where did you get the R1800 from and how much?
In the US - available at CompUSA for $549. It does sizes up to 13inches x 19inches (I think called super A3). Don't know if that is borderless yet - but I believe so. I know it CAN do 11x17 borderless as I've already printed up a piccie for the wife of the kid's. Colour is OUTSTANDING... It also does printable CD/DVD's (which was the final selling point for me).

PS: Don't know about how quickly it will run through the ink in any of it's eight cartridges, but will keep people advised

The best price I could find is £386... does anyone have any experience/knowledge of this/Canon printers?
Cheers,
Phil.

Very tempting....
Martin.
General concensus on most sites and forums at the moment is that the Epson's are leading for now, the R800 and R1800 are particularly noted for pro-quality at a reasonable price.
Saying that, the Canon's are also looking good, and in the photo printing market at the moment it is definitely a head-to-head between Epson and Canon.

Canons don't include the CD printer option in the States so that made my decision for me...
