If you're buying a car or a laptop saying 'A is cheaper and would still get me to work/run the software but I'm buying B simply because I like the feel of using it' is regarded as reasonable by all except the deliberately miserable. Yet with cameras people tend to get puritanical, you feel obliged to prove that B has some theoretical advantage in scientific tests and you are talented enough to take advantage.
