I'm not really the person who wants to lug a tripod about the place, and if I did I would buy a new one as mines frankly crap.
I have two IS lens but still feel that for some things I could maybe benefit from one.
Saying this...I have never used one and only really seem people using them. I've not even had one in my paws to play with.
So monopod users, I beckon the to tell thy if they are any good?

Another option if you're travelling etc, one of the brands of trekking/walking poles (maybe Leki) makes a pole that can double as a monopod if you unscrew the top piece of the handle. I'd think about getting one for out round the rally stages etc if my camera was heavier, but its not so I don't need one.

I have the canon 17-85 and a 70-300. Sure it would cope with the stumpy lens on but how about the lanky?
Thinking of taking the Mono to Le Mans. Also went to the welsh rally last year and it was ace so I'd be taking one to it this year (be it in December).
£40 good price for a Mono?
Also Stacey, you are a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, I went for a job with the same title, didn't get it. So you'll have to really write me a good review for me to get one.
Get your 'Bringing David Round To the Gorilla Pod Idea' hat on.
