Well, not "forced" as such, but the local camera shop that stands between me and the Sainsbury's Local had a Sigma 50-500mm in the window.

It had to be done.

50mm:

500mm:

I very much like this lens.

I've got to say I think it would be dangerous to have a camera shop between my house and my local shop lol.

Come on chaps, let's not spoil his fun, he's got a new lens and will be happy to be out playing with it.

Looking at the exif it was 1/320th which at 500mm on a crop sensor handheld is a little ambitious, plus we don't know where then focus point was. ALso it was shot wide open and as we all know most lenses aren't the sharpest when wide open.

Where do you "think" he'd have had the focus point? rolleyes

wink

To be fair at 1/320th he'd have got the blur from the shaking of his other hand.

I don't know how experienced a photographer he is and whether he knows how to select a focus point or whether he just let the camera choose.
