Hi Guys

First post on this forum but post a lot over on the Porsche forum.

I have a Sigma SD9 and lots of EX lenses and I am gradually getting into photography.

I have been using XP but I am now thinking maybe a Mac would be better. Are Macs lots better for doing photo work????

Cheers Sean

I was going to buy a notebook. Want a leightweight one to carry around. I have a large XP notebook which is to heavy to carry around all the time...

Budget doesn;t really matter, as long as it has all the bits.

I currently use a high end Tosh Laptop, with 1GB ram etc, and by the sounds of things the Mac may be quicker but not necessarily better. The only problem with my laptop is it's heavy. With my laptop, DSLR and lenses the bax weighs in at 13kg. Maybe I should just leave the 170-500 at home, rarely use it.

The SD9 is a good camera, just takes an age to process the X3F raw files. I have some sample shots but I am sure the cameras ability is a lot greater than mine....
