Newbie question

Well new to here anyway,

I have had a casio Exilim 4 meg for the last year, was just to get started in photography again. thing is as with all these things is it now seems to be a bit lacking in what i want to do, mainly shots of car's and action photo's of fast moving objects.

i like the size and the main features on the little casio are great so not looking to go too much larger, will want to stick with digital as it means i can remain with taking, a shot and sticking it on the computer to see the results.

as the casio is only a year old would someone like jessops take it in as a trade assuming good condition etc.

then the next question is what next not looking to go mad, so budget about £400 i think, want to keep size small as main use requires me to carry all day without being too obvious i am lugging around a camera,

would like to have good zoom functions, and possibility of anti shake on taking the shot, and also some means of repeating shots, so i have more chance of taking the actual image i want.

any suggestions all ?
