After all the doom and gloom of this year, let's have an uplifting thread.

Pictures should show the best of humanity and can cover the start of life through to the end.

Basically, what it means to be human in a positive way.

People interacting with others, care workers doing what they do best, acts of kindness, etc etc..

Let's see what you have got thumbup

This is my little one at two weeks old.

Two Weeks by The Rain Maker, on Flickr

Rules:

The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please only get out with your gear if you have safe opportunity etc.

The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.

You can only submit one, and only one photo.

The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.

Entries and discussion on this single thread please.

All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.

Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.

To be fair, I think "unpopular" is probably too harsh a word; personally challenging and emotionally difficult are more appropriate descriptions.
Fair point I guess.

To try and push a few more people to take part, this months winner will get a Pistonheads Mug (as long as they are happy to send me their address).

Well, this months topic turned out to be a challenge rofl

Good effort for everyone who entered.

Two are stand out for me,

DailyHack's entry captures this moment in time very well and shows people willing to risk all and head to work even if they are not needed.

And the winner, C n C It shows a fantastic bond between two people who are together in the hope they can change the way of the world.
