OK, so forgive smug mode, but yet again last week, I heard a BBC wildlife bod saying they'd never seen a Pine Marten. Well chaps... there are four living in our garden.

Here are the two young scamps that are giving mum and dad hell at the moment.

They eat bread cheese and raspberry jam (NOT strawberry!)

FD (PH from here), chose a good weekend to come up... Shieldaig village, taken at 6.30 this morning

Yea, we had hens in our last house, but there is no way we coould have them here (without building a Fort). They may look cute, but they are born to kill.

I saw you FD... you drove past Shieldaig at 09.30 right? I was sitting in my garden looking across the loch. I then heard you as you went past my house (about 1 click after you turned right for Applecross)
