Seen one without the screen for sale for £100.

This was my budget for a printer. Is this one worthy?

Thanks. A staples has just opened near me so I'll try that first. If its too dear then I'll try my original route (which Im not telling because there is not much stock left!)

how does that work then? If I buy the printer at a cheaper store I can then go into staples and get them to pay me the difference?

Im guessing I have to take the printer back to the other store and purchase again from Staples.

In which case whats the point in doing that? I still end up with the same print for the same price!

I think Im missing something here
(More than just my marbles that is).

Ah, I see.

I went to staples and it was £10 dearer than elsewhere for the model without the little screen.

Do I want the little screen anyway?

On order without the screen. Cant see any use for it as I will have to switch the PC on to use the printer anyway! (use a scanner, not a digi camera)

Novatech. But it was about the same price as your supplier I think.
I collected mine as I live locally to them. Dont know how much they charge for delivery. Its a big supplier though so should be good.

I noticed there is also a R200 version without the card reader (and possibly with out the USB extension).

Remember to buy a USB cable too. They are cheap from Novatech and light up in pretty colours! (not that I can see it behind the desk anyway!

That must be the cheapest they can drop to at the moment then as I got mine at £116 which included VAT.

Incase I didnt already say the R300 also doubles up as a memory card reader and takes 5 different cards. The memory cards can be read by the PC too.

Its also possible to print straight from a card or camera via USB or bluetooth (with adaptor).

Having had it a while I have only printed 3 things!
Ive used the memory card and USB extension more often!

The USB extension could be better. Have to re-boot printer to get it to recognise my USB drive.

I still need to get some good glossy paper to put it to a real test.

When I print something good I'll scan it and post it up and you can see the results.

Whilst your card is warm why not make it nice and hot and get me a nice Griff to save me venturing out on another Griff shopping journey this weekend

Ok then, to make it fairer, I'll give you my R300 and you give me your G500

Seems we are both shopping for things the other has got and it will save us so much time and effort

Are you suggesting I bring my printer but catch the train there so that I can drive your car home after?

thanks yella.
I had a choice of buying with the TFT preview screen for an extra £25 but didnt think it was worth buying a 2" when I have a 17" monitor next to the printer anyway!

I guess the TFT screens are really for people who want to print straight from digital cameras and dont have PCs.
