I know - I'm worse than some of those people dithering over Griffs and Tuscans

Still doing my homework on Digital SLRs. Does anyone have experience of the S2?

If so, what's it like, how's the shutter lag (when you're trying to catch TVRs and peoples' expressions ) and are the results as brilliant as they should be for the money?

Looks to be reasonable value for money and when the S3 comes out later in the year it might be that the S2 is a bit of a bargain?

I'm not excited by Nikon's D70 because it won't have a second shutter release and the popular D100 isn't coming down in price too much at the moment.

Want to stick with the Nikon mount though as I already have some excellent Nikon lenses (3) and the Tokina 28-70.....

Had a quick play with a pal's S2.. very very saucy.

Pal - or S2? Very encouraging then - they may have made some progress with power management on the S3 maybe....

I know what you mean about obsolescence Simpo - and that link is mighty useful - half a dozen other interesting reviews at the bottom of the page

Still thinking about the Fuji - can get hold of a secondhand S1 for about £450.

Now I know they weren't very smart in the battery department, and they started the controversy over interpolated pixels and the like. But it still seems a fair amount of camera for the money.....
