No seal kits available for them any longer . So having to go with a replacement caliper.
She did get quite cooked on the track day last year. Smokin.
So going with the full refurbished caliper. Not too dear.
Don't want her to let go in Eau Rouge

You shouldn't be braking at all for Eau Rouge unless a silver/grey Porsche obstructs you ( It's actually called Raidillon; Eau Rouge is the name of the stream that runs under the track just there If you end up in Eau Rouge, I expect the water will cool your brakes nicely ).
PS. If you have a look at AutoAndy's Spa video, you will see where you are supposed to brake

I bow to your greater experience. Mines a 92 but as you say you would have thought they would have work
Total refurbished Calipers not to bad belt and braces.
Still not convinced ..... are they now "obliged" to go through TVR parts for all spares?

Put the later date in coz early Chimaera had 240mm disc, same as V6 S but later ones and V8S's have 260mm I believe?Good chance they ordered an "S caliper" and got one for a V6?
Quite possibly same diameter piston so repair kit would fit either?
Main thing is you'll be sorted in time

Right product but wrong side. Good chance they ordered an "S caliper" and got one for a V6?

I thought the kink at the bottom was called Eau Rouge (or as Roger called it "Eau Sh...t!" in 2012!!) and the one at the top is Raidillon? Roger also changed the name of Pouhon to "Poo one" when things got interesting there

What "records" was Doug looking at? They are left & right handed so they have to have different part numbers. Hope he's ordered the right size for you. I always hesitate to disagree with Phillpot but AFAIK the V8S only ever came with 240mm fronts as standard. You may well have the 260mm but the calipers are not the same, again though only AFAIK. The BigRed tip is a good one if you do get stuck.Glad it is all sorted now. See you in Calais if not Dover.

Steve Heath the TVR S Series book said:
the front brakes on these cars (V8S/S4) are still ventilated discs but the diameter was increased to 10.6 inches (269mm).
Must admit the "269 bit" struck me as a bit odd?
Useful as it is, there are one or two errors in that book.
