Shadow Chrome - how will mine look?
Discussion
Going to get mine done at some stage during rebuild. Thoughts on what I should have done with these? They're in good condition apart from the surface being very 'pock-marked' and full of embedded brake dust.
Shot blast and powder coat in a similar light grey then find some new centre caps? Any other ideas?

Prestige Wheels in Stockport have a really good reputation. They have completed one set for me this autumn and my eight is with them at the moment having its wheels attended too as well. They seem to do a very bright but not chrome silver which would look great on those wheels. Remember shadow chrome can be lots of differing shades, it all depends on the amount of silver that goes on top of the black powder coat. As for the oz eight spokes, I agree that they look far better with the black bits painted back on but it's a bh of a job to do masking it up!!!
Edited to add this link to when I did mine.

They have held up really well, with no real sign of wear. Am away from the car but will share a photo of them when I'm home again in a few days if there is any interest.

I'm with the powder chrome suggestion above. Should look good against the dark colour...v8s4me said:

They will be VERY low maintenance. A wipe with a damp cloth is all that is needed I should have been specific with regards to which car is at prestige at the moment. By "eight" I meant the BMW 840 and its throwing stars rather than the V8s Its currently enjoying a garage to itself and is up on axle stands having its winter clean and touch up. Didn't manage to do one for the last two years as I only had a tiny single garage. So nice getting her clean and shiny underneath again. Can't believe it's been 4 years since the body off!
