Hi Hayden,
Do you mean the green one for the S1's 2.8i Cologne V6?
If so, it's a Ford relay, as fitted to the 2.8i Sierras and Granadas, so you could try your luck at your friendly local motor factors for aftermarket brands like Pearl for instance.
Take along your old relay so they can cross-reference it.
Failing that, try Old Skool Ford,
or Sierra's'R'Us up in Bolton.
Have you tried carefully removing the cover and checking what state it is in?
It does live in a harsh environment in the rainwater path behind the front wheel arch,
Sometimes a good clean with WD40 followed by a suitable solvent contact cleaner spray can revive it.

Yes it is the green relay for a 2.8 its a Ford NO 68-125
I have tried 2 motor factor,a ford dealers,sprint adverts,ebay,many hours on the net,and can not find one,
I have not taken it apart yet to clean it, but that was the next step if I could not get a replacement

Where did you get that number from, doesn't look like a normal Ford part No. or Finis Code?

Have you tried the two suppliers I suggested?
Or searched for any old Ford breakers?,
If I get time tomorrow, I'll strip the one out of my SI ( It's well protected from the elements ), look for any part numbers and take photos if that's any help.

The green hot start module in your diagram is the same one,
When the engine is cold,the thermotime switch triggers the kalt start relay into switching on the cold start injector which in turn injects additional fuel into the engine,
As the engine warms up the cold start injector is switched off.

Hi Mike, I have seen that confusion before. It is a Kaltstart not a cold start relay. Relates to the original supplier to Bosch for this early injection system. As you say, it is only on the 2.8. I did get one from a big and well respected auto electrical suppliers in Preston (Ribblesdale Auto Electrics ribblesdaleauto.co.uk) but it was a few years ago.

Yes I tried the 2 contacts you gave me with no luck
The sell the relays with the looms so do not keep any in stock
I still have not opened the relay up yet as I can still just about about get it started with a small knock,
If I open It up Im afraid I might do more damage than good

Have you tried just giving the points a clean with some wd40 contact cleaner? Justdone so on mine an it seemed to fire up alot better with turn of a key usually would struggle abit from cold start so would need abit of throttle applied. Not sure on replacement relay part but wouldn't mind one myself as a spare.

Amazed it still worked after it had been full of water when I first opened it up to investigate a few years ago. You can see the tide mark on the pcb.
Mine has "5GA 08" printed in white on the green case.
The Ford No. was the same as the previous posters' relays.
I think we'd all better keep our eyes peeled for spare ones at autojumbles in future.

Have you been polishing that copper Glen?
Doesnt look as if anyone has spotted a slightly foolish error on my part. Although with my language skills I can be forgiven. 'Kalt' means 'cold' in German so it is a Kalt start coldstart relay. Hands up those who are any clearer...I thought not
