S Series Indicators
Discussion
Right I've tried to pull together the other threads to give a definitive (ish) answer to the issue here.
The original Sherpa Lenses are like rocking horse poo to find and v expensive when you do find one. Alternative options are:
BMW
Terrano II and Maverick
Kia here or Kia here
With the Terrano/Maverick you replace the full assembly with the BMW and Kia you need to use the original backing piece having removed the sherpa lens. The Nissan/Ford option also covers the trim end as they sit slightly further out than the Kia/BMW.
The nissan part number is on this picture
It is also possible that the Nissan Navara indicators will fit as below:
Nissan Hardbody / Navara D21 circa 1990-1998 ? It is possible they would be an addition to the list as replacements for those fitted to TVR S series cars.
but this has not been proven yet and a thread is running elsewhere to try and get the answer.

I have managed to find part numbers for the Terrano2 and the D21 indicators and they are different - see parts diagrams below:
http://nissan4u.com/parts/terrano2/el_r20/1994_2/t...
http://nissan4u.com/parts/king_cab/el_d21/1993_1/t...
I have also emailed a seller on Ebay asking for the dimensions and part number for the pair for sale.
Will let you know the outcome.

Kia part No. (probably mentioned somewhere already) is KKY0151073.
A pair cost me £9.80 inc. vat a little time ago only real negative is they are not the best quality plastic moulding ever ( but hey, they're off a Kia ! )Because of this also bought some BMW ones off Ebay but they are a little shorter, not sure they're going to fill the hole quite as well as Kia do ?

I fitted BMW indicators about 3 weeks ago. They cost me a fiver off Fleabay.
They're slightly smaller than the standard 'Sherpa' one's, sitting within the indicator recess as opposed to being lipped like the originals and sitting flush. I actually prefer my new one's, they're easy to fit and as long as you clean around where the original indicators sit, they look smart.
May require a slight mod of the fronter quarter bumper strips though, the recessed BMW lens expose the ends of the bumper strips and they look a bit unslightly. May be worth capping them off.

The Navara / D21 ones have different hole centres so sadly are NOT a replacement.
If anybody ever surfaces who has a Navara I now have a pair of lenses they might want
So that means I have just wasted £20 on a new set of D21's then - Doh!If anybody ever surfaces who has a Navara I now have a pair of lenses they might want

Trying to fit my S3 into a gap that was too short resulted in a broken indicator lens on Sunday!! A visit to the local Kia dealer resulted in two nice new Pride lenses which were prompty and easily fitted. MUCH better appearance than the original Sherpa nasties. Thanks for the info - right on cue.
v8s4me, simular problem to the finishing touches on a tvr, i just had a new windscreen fitted, and was never impressed with the origenal finish. Being in the glazing trade, i done a small section with black silicon then i thought, the lead work you get on glass would look nice around the windscreen.
Not done yet but photos to come soon, maaybe this would do around indicators.

put my lenses on today, was a bit of a sod to be honest the originals were glued on to the housing and while one came of with some gentel persuasion the other was a nightmare, you have to be so carefull not to damage the housing too! the result is my once chiped and cracked originals are now abliterated, had to melt the lens off in the end with an (old) soldering iron.they do however fit fine and in my opinion look better. with regard to the gap I tryed pinching and slicing various bits of rubber hose, in the end i cut up a guitar lead and gently pushed it in with a screw driver not ideal as the gap is not evan so it only fits on three sides but looks ok. may try to up load a picture tomorrow.
