Sorry did see this earlier, i read an older post on pH about this think it may have been Joe?'s There was a debate whether the 7/16 bolt was sturdy enough?
Well, in comparison to the ones people had machined up which seemed a lot more beefed up for extra strength.

7/16 unf is the standard seatbelt mounting bolt of choice in just about everything.

Should the worst happen I can see an insurance assessor looking at a Rose joint and thinking " wtf is that?" (or maybe an MOT examiner scratchchin) whereas the machined up brackets look "proper" and would most likely go unnoticed?

I've came across a company on the same road as the garage I take my S too called 'Gullfield engineering' they said there's no minimum quantity order needed with them (this may lead to a bigger price who knows) but I'm going to print off the dimensions & get a price off them next week, will keep you updated

Hi,

If these become available again I'm happily in for a pair.

Kind regards and thank you

Sorry gents, i did put some money down last October to have 20 pairs made up at 'Gullfield Engineering' in Coventry, the owner had sold the company to someone else & they were moving premises.. Every time i contacted them they said they had a big backlog of work to do.. Called it a day a few months back now & got my money back.

Can these also be made from Stainless Steel ?

Is there a reason why a Carbon Steel ST60 steel was written on the original drawing ?

Hi Steve
If you are going to order somewhere else can I add my name to the list?
