"wood" dashboard
Discussion
Hi Neil.
I have recently bought a s3 1990 and seen your post here about the dashboard veneer. Mine need replacing and you have said it was simple to do. Did you create a template and then cut your own veneer ? Your dash is identical to mine so I would be interested in your approach and where your got the veneer from. Best regards Jason.

Its quite simple to do, and I was really pleased with the results. The best advise I can offer is don't use yacht varnish its next to impossible to not have brush marks. I had to refinish then spray clear gloss lacquer.
This after removal from clamps and cutting out holes with craft knife.
