I'll be there but not in the Griff. We are on holiday in the Peak District and SWMBO wants to visit Chatsworth!
SWMBO may also like a scenic tour around the Peak District on Saturday and a pub lunch ( usually a few spare seats going ) http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?uh=0&...

I'm sure looking round the S series cars, &meeting up with other tvr car owners too will be a great time for everyone,
I hope we can get some of the important jobs done on the car before then
Targa tang repaired &the petrol sender unit replaced
The hood & replacement material for the targa roof will be an over the winter job
See you all there
If it would be of any help, please make yourself known to me (looks like a dark green V8, but S1 underneath, see pic above, old git with grey hair!!) we can go through the targa panel/tangs issues especially if you are going to do the whole job over winter.I hope we can get some of the important jobs done on the car before then

Hi folks
I'm looking forward to saying hi to you at Chatsworth, though I may be rushing around a bit on the day!
A couple of pointers if I may:
If you want to look around the house or gardens (Colin, and others) don't forget your Club Card to get a 20% discount.
As Max said, we aim to park people in the groups they choose to arrive in, rather than split them up. If a group of Ss arrived together they would park together - it's a no-brainer really guys
Here's hoping the weather is good and the driving easy!
Tony.

Changing the Format? that'll rock the boat with a few members!
I recall the uproar at the first Burghley where cars were parked in the order they arrived
Since Chatsworth has been the season closer, we've always parked in order of arrival rather than by model.I recall the uproar at the first Burghley where cars were parked in the order they arrived
It's resource (marshal) intensive and akin to herding cats - but if anyone wishes to step forward to help us set up model segregation they would be welcomed with open arms.
You can't please all the people all of the time.
On a personal note, I think presentationally segregated displays look great but not always practical to achieve.

This may help. Taken from one of my other postings:
CHATSWORTH TRAVEL NEWS
On Sunday 2 October, Chesterfield is hosting a half marathon run. This means that Chesterfield will be a no-go area for the morning at least, as they are closing many roads around the centre and, significantly, the A617 from the M1. Do NOT use J29 from the M1 to get to Chatsworth on Sunday, as the area will be snarled up with local and diverted traffic. We do not anticipate any problems on Saturday, for the run-out from Chatsworth.
Although local diversions will be in place, we suggest that you consider the following routes:
From the M1 South – Exit the M1 at J28 and head for Alfreton on the A38. You can then go through Matlock (very scenic!) and head to Chatsworth from there.
From the M1 North – Exit the M1 at J34, go under the Tinsley viaduct and take the A631/ Sheffield bypass; Prince of Wales Road; then Head towards Dronfield and Owler Bar, then to Chatsworth.
If you are heading West from the Mansfield area, or prefer to skirt around Sheffield altogether – Exit the M1 at J30 and head for Eckington, then Dronfield, then up to Owler Bar and on to Chatsworth.
We strongly advise you to avoid the M1 at J29 and the local area around Chesterfield.
The roads should re-open later in the afternoon.
Do not worry unduly, unless you are driving from close by the area it is likely that Google Maps or you Sat Nav would not be taking you via the J29 in any case!

Hi S Clubbers
I posted a note on the S Owners FB page but also adding here.
I'll be driving up from Stanwick (Wellingborough, Northamptonshire) and wondered whether anyone fancies meeting up for a cooked breakfast en route at 'The Little Chef' on the A50 at Uttoxeter (ST14 5AA) at say 8:15am then doing the last 35 mile run up the A515 to Chatsworth in convoy? If we left The Little Chef at 9:00am we'd be at Chatsworth just before opening time at 10am?
LawrieS, enna and AutoAndy... Uttoxeter could work for you guys and it avoids the M1 and Chesterfield. Hope you can make breakfast.
Cheers
