Ok. So the shocks are refurbed and proudly have new rubber bushes. Bushes from a Triumph TR6 and cost £2.50 each, they need a little manipulation and shaving once installed, but happy with the end result. My quest to find rubber bushes for the front and back arms continues as they are all different sizes.
I used a Land Rover series spring shackle bush, shortened accordingly and the bolt was also Land Rover spring shackle.

Carl, the ones I got are from a TR6, thanks for the heads up on the Landrover bush, was looking at them. Did you split it in half and push in from both sides?

Kept as one piece and just shortened one end, pushed in okay in a large vice, probably due to paint rather than powder coat and no corrosion. Been in a few years now and haven't moved.
If you didn't feel they were tight enough you could fit with some bearing lock or something but as I say mine went in fairly easily and haven't moved.
Hadn’t realised they were metalastic bushes with steel sleeve on the outside. When I extracted them it was just the rubber that came out, and corrosion was concealing the outer sleeve. Do you remember if it was the front or rear Landrover shackle bushes, I think the are different lengths, but I suppose if you have to cut them it doesn’t really matter. Good job Mike is keeping an eye on where I leave things lying around.
Glad it was of help.
Carl.
Carl. What did you do for front wishbones, I think the ones I sourced for the shocks will fit the uppers, bit lower are smaller diameter. They are available on a few TVR specialist sites in rubber, so maybe I should just take that option, just look pricey for what they are. Thanks. LeeGlad it was of help.

Unless it would be an extrem rare or specific TVR part I would go for a new brake caliper! phillpot said:

About £35 each recon/exch from Burtons.
Seriously, that is good if correct., got quoted £300 from one place. Will have a look, though half way though now. All split, just clean up, paint and get The big red kit and rebuild. [url]|https://thumbsnap.com/Se5BbLIE[/url

Don’t like the look of those on the link. The 1988 originals look much more robust.
I could be wrong but I think all these 'budget' calipers are originals that have been reconditioned? I'd be most surprised if anyone is making replacement calipers to a different, less robust design (and at that price) ... Brakes International are usually competative on price.
recently bought rear caliper kit from BCS, here's their front seal kit
Big Red will do a lovely job of them, but won't be cheap! But you will get the carriers done as well, all these budget calipers will not include the carriers, you'll still have to clean up and use yours.

Brakes INT, £36 / exchange calliper, that’s really good price, but as ever no carriers. Why don’t they come complete, they are part of the brakes, frustrating.
The one I’ve split looks ok inside, no rust or scratches surprisingly, the seal was good so kept it safe. Big Red and BCS do a kit which includes the pistons, think I’ll go for that.
