Herts/Essex meet up
Discussion
Just got back from a weekend away and it seems that things are gathering pace...
Podie, looks that you'll be getting there before me. I'll be there around 8.00 PM so I'll expect a cold pint of Woodpecker awaiting me at the bar
The road from Epping to the Fiddlers is fine, Kieran must have taken the farm track by mistake last time Just be careful of the bend at the bottom of the road.
Car park can hold about 80 cars if the field is open, maybe if the manager is told beforehand, he can remove the barrier. Keiran, you can do this as you seem to be in charge!
See you Wednesday.

J26 is the one arranged I believe //P//. It's the one to Waltham Abbey and Epping/Loughton. Following the Epping signs you go through High Beech to the Wakes Arms r/bt and turn left to Epping. J28 is A12. See here:

No good for me and those from north or east. If I can make it I'll be going via Chelmsford and Ongar.
Rog.

The barrier is down!
Manager has been warned that many may decend upon her premises, some hungry - not a problem, I was told.
Party of 20 sitting at 7.30, apart from that catering should be able to cope.
For those that may be interested, a classic bike club also meets on Wedneday nights, so it should be a nice noisy evening!
I doubt it's necessary, but if anyone wants to book a table(?) then call the pub on 01992 572142

I've had a with Yellow Peril on the and she's going to send the message out to the Mid-Essex lot - a free for all turnout!!!
I'll pick up anyone who's interested from J28 on the M25 - meet at the Little Chef at 19:00 - SHARP!
We'll then scoot up to J26 to meet Griffy, Big T and co, for a quick blast round the lanes to the pub!
Just got back home...
Nice meet, not a bad location, although the landlady (?) was a bit grumpy when a load of us walked through the dining room!
Waited at the J28 "services" - to find Chiny, Seasider, Singh and Andy Lockett... we headed off to J26 (not problems anti-clockwise on the M25!).. "playing loud exhausts" in the tunnel!
Got to J26, met up with Griffy, ehasler and a load of others... started off to the meet, lost Singh along the way... but found a nebula blue Tuscan en-route! - actually he was going there anyway, but joined in the convoy anyway!
Turned up, caused havoc in some small village with roadworks and a convoy of about 12 cars
and met up with the like of S3 Kieran, Terminator, bbt, The Dodger, and a few others!
Then Singh turned up! Turned out he'd missed a turning... gone round, and found Vixen1700... and follwed him. To his HOUSE! - but they made it over in the end!
Nice bunch of people, good turnout of cars... just a shame the nights are drawing in really..
Oh, and a VX220 Turbo turned up... started up... and was followed by some wise guy ( ) saying "have you started it yet?"
Thanks for the invite guys... right, now who's coming to Kent on Monday?

I did drive over on my return from Luton airport at just after 10:30 but I think everyone had disappeared by then - just some classic bikes in the car park!
