Is that the same sophisticated V8 that Buick designed way back in the '50s? As far as additives are concerned, the Valvoline is a 'modern' oil with additives. I doubt if you could buy a 'straight' mineral 20/50 in this country?
Do a little test for yourselves. If you have a reasonably modern car, check the oil 3000miles after a service, you might be hard put to notice any difference in the oil. Do the same with the old Cologne. I think you will be convinced!
