Damaged Red "S" on eBay today.

Very likely. If you are selling on ebay and want to sell it privately you have to 'end' the item and ebay give you a short list of possible reasons. They monitor the responses. If a seller appears to be using ebay for advertising but then selling privately they can 'strike' their account. 3 strikes and they are in trouble. So best not to be too 'honest' all the time!
Saw the post a few days ago but wasn't able to respond due to being a new member, the car in question i took delivery of last week and have already started the repairs, for the interested the damaged is mainly to the Fibreglass side wing and bonnet, the upper NS wishbone (U in shape) and ball joint (snapped) luckily no chassis damage. The main down fall is the two front 8 spoke OZ wheels are total, the damage (splits and bends) was not the issue they buckled engineer shop have tried but i am afraid they are RIP. So if anyone knows where a pair or full set of 8 spokes are for sale let me know. Failing this looking for a set of nice alloys.

I rather hoped we could secure this lot as an 'insurance' for any cars that get damaged. Unfortunately I have run out of storage space at my home. I gather he also has a damaged body tub.
