Our V8S in 'Classic & Cars" Magazine
Discussion
Well done, looking forward to a read. Off out to find a copy tomorrow, thanks for pointing it out. Always good to see magazine exposure for the s.
On a completely different note, I'm Wondering how the BMW 840ci compares in the magazine. I'd have thought they were two completely differing styles of cars, or at least mine are!

Cheers Gordon, yes I was first to arrive closely followed by the MG who I'd overtook on the motorway. On a completely different note, I'm Wondering how the BMW 840ci compares in the magazine. I'd have thought they were two completely differing styles of cars, or at least mine are!
Had no idea who else was coming
Was a little odd group but suppose all V8's. The TVR really only being a Sporty Sporty Classic really.
The others more tourers. Shows in the 0-60 time comparisons. And power to weights.
But was a great day. Nice bunch of blokes.

Well done Simon! These magazine shoots are always good fun as your hanging around most of the time, as they do the photos and stuff and you get the opportunity to chat to the other owners. I got the chance a couple of years ago with 'Classic and Sportscar' and it was a great experience (the V6S was the 'winner' then too)

Was cancelled a few times due to weather but on the day was just perfect.
Just the right amount of Sun and Cloud protect light in the hanger.
And the patina of the old hangers...,great.

Cheers Chris how are you mate?
On line £1.99 if that's the way bit cheaper than £4.50 paper back
Classic Cars App.
All good thanks Simon, hope you are well. Had to get the paperback, worth every penny with a V8S on the front cover. £30.000 thats more like it, and also worth every penny! "the Blackpool bruiser that clinches it" have done us all a good turn there Simon Winter months upon us but hopefully see you soonish! FINALLY managed to get my copy in Tesco on Tuesday and settled down to read it tonight. Car (as usual) looks superb Simon. I was surprised to see how bald you'd become so quickly...but then that Merc owner looked rather familiar when I turned the page
Must admit I have always fancied an 8 series or an XKR.....in addition to the TVR of course!!

I very patiently waited until I flew to Detroit Sunday to get my copy at Heathrow WHSmith and even had to restrain myself from reading it with my cider and curry in the lounge pre-boarding... I finally enjoyed the article at 33,000 feet and loved the opening line on page 56:
"You want a proper sports car? The TVR is the obvious candidate."
And then further on:
"... enjoy the punchy, tuned V8 as it growls through the twin tailpipes not far behind."
Great car Simon and every right to be proud.

From the evidence before us, we can see that the V8S represents far better value for money than a measly portion of airport lounge curry with hardly any rice at all. And even that has black bits in it. I think we all know which we'd rather have, Martin.
Plus the V8S is hotter, and comes with poppadums, naan, chutney & lime pickle!
Edit: It should be Cobra. Not cider.

Is this still in the shops? I've not seen it anywhere?
Was going to buy it in the app, but it shows up at 2.99, but when you click it's £4.50. Happy to pay that for a paper copy, but seems a lot for digital...
As asked in Tesco when it is on the shelf until and they said 28th October is recall date for any unsold copies. Was going to buy it in the app, but it shows up at 2.99, but when you click it's £4.50. Happy to pay that for a paper copy, but seems a lot for digital...
