Right, I'm bored !!

Time to share my stupid thoughts !

We all know the Tuscan R is a fantastic car, but @ £75,000 is probably well out of reach of any of us lot on the S forum.

I would love to own a brand new TVR one day, I have even convinced the Missus that she should be driving a Chimaera, I doubt it will be a new one.

How about if Mr Wheeler re introduced the S. Obviously sticking closely to the original shape and design, only with some nice 21st century bits in there.

i.e power to be provided by the Ford 3.0 24V 228 Bhp V6 engine from the Mondeo ST220.

In standard form and draging all the weight of a mondeo about this engine still produces 27 mpg and propels the thing to over 150 mph.

If this could be put together for around £25,000 i'd be beating my dealers door down, as would some of the people who currently buy Elises and those dodgy Vauxall thingys.

Or would this just be taking TVR to the masses, maybe we should keep the secret all to ourselves?

Any thoughts ??

TVR are limited to a production run of 2000 cars max per year which is very roughly what they produce. This is to take advantage of SVA regs.

Why make 2000 cars for 25K when you can make 2000 at 50k?

Plus PW likes making things and not buying in stuff and simply bolting it together.

Limited Edition Perhaps... although how about getting an S3 and popping that engine in anyway now theres a thought..

Probably wouldn't cope with the extra power, need brake, suspension mods at least!!

Unfortunatly !!!!
