Chaps and Chapesses,
I don't have many details as yet but TVRCC have kindly arranged for this year's event to be at a new venue, Blenheim Classic Car Show on either Sunday 24th or Monday 25th August 2014 or both (awaiting confirmation).
It will incorporate Chimfest again which worked well last year.
Details will follow in due course, but we have a date and place.
Although I haven't had anything to do with this event so far, I must say that a Palace is the correct place to display such a regal model.
Then there are the cars as well ;-)
Auto Andy, maybe you could add to the Wiki?

Wow, that is so refreshing, all good comments, thank you
Mike: you're right no venue or date can ever please everyone and it makes it especially hard when we are quite few in numbers (and therefore quite scattered).
I haven't had anything to do with this but am merely passing on what Alayne has done. I am pleased there has been an early decision as it helps plan things out.
I've never been to Blenheim and so am looking forward to it

I can't make it now either, still planning on Stamford Saturday though.
Hi Dave, that's sad news, but does that mean you have an extra ticket going free ? ;-)Hope you are well.
Regards
Adrian
Good to see early chat about it and positive too. As said we are a diverse group and owners of the various models do tend to differ a bit. The S spirit seems really strong to me
The key ingredient is a willing principal organiser, usually 2-3 helpers will then emerge.

Good stuff
So for me it's,
Any kind of museum / stately home for venue
Bank holiday Monday
Planned pm 1-3 hoon planned by a local
3-4 polish your car and voting time
Good camping / hotels nearby
4-30 finish
Go for one day main event to get max support for the day
When you do two days the event gets diluted.
Well written post. Obviously, our comments are personal views and we vary. I agree with Adrian but am less sure about the B/H aspect, it suits some but not all. I think one 'main' day is ideal but of course any that are camping or staying local may well want soemthing too,So for me it's,
