Hi To my S2 connections. The air intake Filter on my 1990 2.9 S2 (gave all that info incase needed) is dirty looking and I would like to replace it with a K&N filter. I have noticed that it has a tube leading into the middle of the foam filter, I'm assuming that a K&N wouldn't have this and I haven't had a really good look at it yet to see what this hose dose. My car is put away for the winter and I can't get at it right now. Has anybody made this change over? Can I get pictures from anybody? How is it done? Where can I get one if I can at all?

Mel I would love to see the pictures please. I had a K&N breather on my Essex in my 3000M and then my 5000M (Same car blew up the Essex put in a 5.0 Mustang Motor). Have you had any oil leaks from the K&N filter set up?

Well from Air filters to battery straps. Works for me. Watch when you are using Velcro straps. Velcro and most car fluids will not get along very well. Most Petrol based products will start a slow and sometimes not so slow decay of the Velcro. Just keep an eye on it. I use it a lot in business and learned the hard way.

Thanks Spivvy. That is want I was looking for. That looks like it would be an easier fit than the K&N but is it as good a filter? The front one I mean I assume that is the Piper. How much are they and has anybody got a web site to buy on from? I also assume that they are washable?

Hi the breather is a K&N. I can get that here in Canada. I had one on my Essex powered 3000M and also on my 3000M with the V8. Can you give me a web address to check out and possible order the piper filter from?
