It was the Kurbcrawlers meet. I went, never heard of it before but was hosted at the cleaning place just off the roundabout. Rather a few nice things there such as a supercharged R8 and a GTR but as usual a lot of the wrong crowd turned up.
Few pictures if anyones interested - http://www.flickr.com/photos/kurt_blythman/sets/72...
Some of the the cars there look nice, but it looks like you need 20" wheels as an entry permit, oh dear. I do recognise one or two of the cars in the background of the photos though. A real shame they couldn't keep it sensible and civil out on the roads.Few pictures if anyones interested - http://www.flickr.com/photos/kurt_blythman/sets/72...

I was around that area at 4pm-ish and saw 2-3 nice BMWs with the lowered and stretched treatment along with a to$$er in a chavved up silver mk2 TT (dodgy Matt black Borbet wheels and what appeared to be a DIY-quad exhaust) trying his hardest to cause an accident.
Also a Polo estate complete with rusty sills and the only "modification" appeared to be stupid wheels

The wheels are 3SDM 0.05 staggered 8.5 front and 9.5 rears, the exhaust is a off the shelf Miltek quad system, DIY I admit in cutting of the bumper by Revolution motorsport, coilovers H&R. Not sure where chavved up comes from but hey ho personal tastes and all that. Also a Polo estate complete with rusty sills and the only "modification" appeared to be stupid wheels
As for the purposely trying to cause a crash? Would you like to elaborate? I think 8 years no claims and a clean license would prove I'm a pretty safe driver aswell as averaging 35mpg from a 2.0T FSI...
Much love x x

It is possible to have 8 years no claims and a clean license and still be an utter bell end behind the wheel of a car.As for the purposely trying to cause a crash? Would you like to elaborate? I actually find your comments quite disrespectful. For your information, some of the cars that attended the meet yesterday have a global following online, and are highly respected people in the UK car scene. I would also suggest that in future you at least do your homework before making completely ill informed comments about people's cars...Borbets? Please! In regards to another comment made - a photo of these 20" wheels would much appreciated...but I'm assuming that this is just another failed attempt to downtrodden other people with your completely ste (or perhaps non-existent?) humour.
<3 haters.

The other half just text me this, 997 of some sort I'll assume?
Still, 911's are quite the rarity in Redcar...

Some of the cars may have a global following, probably the supercharged R8, etc. rather than chavved up corsas and civics. Unfortunately it only takes one bad apple to spoil the barrel so as much as I liked the slammed BMWs and some of the cars some of the others were bilge. If you find that disrespectful then so be it, I'll live! As for doing my homework on what particular brand of wheel they were - errrr no thanks, I'm not that bothered and will leave that to others that way inclined. Be honest Cazsie, was it you in the Polo estate with dodgy wheels I don't know the part number of? Martin - much respect for taking the comment the way you did. Personally I didn't like your wheels and the car looked far too low, but then again it's your car so up to you. I'm a fan of OEM+ modifications and the exhaust looked too aftermarket for me, but again if you're happy that's all that matters. One man's meat is another man's "poisson" and all that
I don't care how many years you've been driving or how many points you have, I drive like a tw@ sometimes too. I try to be courteous to other road users and not cut people up in heavy traffic though and keep my tw@ishness to times when it doesn't inconvenience others - probably not all the time but there you go. Get yourself along to a run out sometime as the one thing that definitely needs sorting on your car is that stupidly high average mpg figure - a couple of hours trailing SeanyD et al up Hartside should see that lower than your H&Rs! You'll then discover I'm just as blunt in real life too
