Maroon Aston Martin Rapide S on A66 (Cargo Fleet Roundabout) around 4.45pm

Anyone have any idea what the following was? Obviously some sort of police transport convoy but who was inside? High profile prisoner or some sort of vip?

Saw is on tues at 2pm and today around the same time?
Just feeling intrigued/nosey really.

Saw exactly the same thing on Monday just after noon at Cowgate. You reckon they'd have a prisonor in a mini bus? I know he's not exactly dangerous.

McLaren MP4-12C about 45 minutes ago at the petrol station in Corbridge, sounded and looked rather nice. Made it worth waiting a while for fish and chips :-). First McLaren I've seen in the flesh, I felt quite inferior in my battered old Audi A6 4.2V8 driving past.

I suspect that will be a practice run for when the Newcastle team coach is escorted back away from sunderland tomorrow.

No chance the Gatiss fella would have had any sort of escort.

convoy drove past me in castleton today , a red a yellow and a older silver trio of corvetes and a Ferrari dino !!! odd ball bunch .

But yesterday down linphorpe road the usual Lamborghini huracan but was over shadowed by a GORGEOUS alpha 4C , looked and sounded just fantastic , considering you can pick them up for 50k what a awesome little car they are .

Heard rather than saw a Speed Six TVR of some description in Edmundbyers about 3pm yesterday. Pulled out of Church lane and gave it some up the hill towards Blanchland. I could hear the bangs on overrun at the top of the hill from my garden!

Just happened to be talking to the wagon driver at work earlier re the several nasty crashes that have occurred over the past week in the area, and he mentioned he seen something like this last week. When I showed him these pics he said that was it. Come tearing up the A1 northbound, off at the Chester roundabout, through the red lights, then back on the A1 north. Traffic car infront with several behind on blues and twos....

I saw an Atom yesterday going through Ponteland heading north, sure it had a Union Jack on front iirc.
